AIR POLLUTION:
Air pollution is the introduction of particulates, biological
molecules, or other harmful materials into the Earth’s
atmosphere, causing disease or even death to living
organisms and huge damage to the environment. It occurs when
the air is contaminated with toxic gases, dust or fumes in
harmful amounts.
Fig. 1
The substances that cause air pollution are called Air Pollutants.
They are of two types-primary pollutants and secondary
pollutants.
Pollutants that are pumped into the atmosphere and directly
pollute the air are called Primary Pollutants. E.g. Carbon
monoxide and sulphur dioxide released from combustion of coal.
If the primary pollutants in the atmosphere undergo chemical
reactions, then the resulting compounds are called Secondary
Pollutants. E.g. Photochemical smog.
WATER POLLUTION:
Water pollution is an undesirable change in the state of water, contaminated with harmful substances. Any change in the physical, chemical, and biological properties of water that has a harmful effect on living things is called water pollution. It affects all the major water bodies of the world, such as lakes, rivers, oceans, and groundwater.

LAND POLLUTION:
Among the most significant is the enormous volume of solid
waste which is being produced every day but not be disposed
properly. The mismanagement of the solid waste, particularly the
polythene shopping bag has caused serious threat to the soil,
public health, and drainage system in the cities.

NOISE POLLUTION:
As we all know that noise pollution is
one of the types of pollution in which a harsh sound is produced due to some
disturbance i.e usually by humans which likely to be
annoy, distract and even harm people in an environment. It refers to ‘unwanted
sound’, ‘loud sound’, ‘unexpected sound’.

Also known as sound pollution. It is
the disturbance of the environment with very loud uncoordinated sounds that r
in most cases of irritating. Eg- traffic, machinery, audio equipment,
etc.

CONCLUSION-
Pollution
is an ever-increasing environmental threat which must be taken care of. If the
present rates at which pollution is occurring continue to pervade, the effects
will be disastrous. We all have a role to play in the Conservation of the
environment. The Earth is our home and dirtying our homes is not desirable by
any individual.
As Mahatma Gandhi rightly said, “Earth provides enough to satisfy every
man's needs, but not every man's greed.”
“Destruction
is a man's will,
Nevertheless Prevention
is also a man's will,
Its a
man's choice to choose between Destruction
and Prevention.”

Let us try to stop pollution,
And find a good solution.
To save our Mother Earth,
Before its too late to realize her
worth!
